I can’t lie, when I sat down to write this blog, I came up blank.
All I could think about was trying to remember all of the things I’ve learned about how to write a captivating blog, what story I should tell, how to creatively sell something, where to direct my audience.
I was so focused on trying to check all the boxes that I was paralyzed and almost gave up. Until I remembered something I posted about never running out of content ideas by asking yourself:
How can I give value to my audience today?
So, I decided to take my own advice and instead of being crippled by making sure I’m writing this blog the right way, I’m just going to give you a few simple ways you can improve your social media content.
Simple adjustments that can drastically improve results
It doesn't always take expensive equipment or big changes in order to get better results. Sometimes it's the little things we can do that will make a world of difference!
Here are a few simple ones you can start doing today:
Use bold text overtop of your videos for the first few seconds as the hook telling people what the video is about – this gets better reach and engagement.
Do NOT post and ghost. Seriously, this is like social media 101 but not enough people do it! You NEED to be active on the platforms – engaging with other people’s content! This honestly helps improve your reach.
Always use a hook in the first line of your caption or in the first sentence of your video – you have to give people a reason to stop scrolling!
Always use closed captions on your videos!! Seriously, why are there still people not doing this? Videos play in the feed without sound, so if you want people to watch - use closed captions!
For my last piece of value to you today, the number one app I’ve been using lately for editing videos, putting text on them, and creating auto captions – CapCut. It’s totally free and super easy to use. I have the app on my phone and my laptop so I can edit from anywhere.
I hope you found some value in this blog post!
